Admissions to conclude on March 31
The Delhi nursery admission process for the academic year 2021-22 will be concluded by March 31.
This year, parents will have to pay only the tuition fees at the respective schools as the Directorate of Education had instructed earlier to all schools. The decision has been taken by the Directorate of Education (DoE) with intent to avoid financial stretch to guardians in order to ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Updated March 20, Delhi Nursery Admission First Merit List: The first merit list for admission into nursery, KG and Class 1 for the academic session 2021-22 has been released on March 20, 2021. The merit list will be valid for all schools in private, unaided schools across Delhi region.
Parents are advised to check the websites of the respective schools. The nursery admissions merit list will include the students’ name along with the points scored by them.
After the release of the first merit list, parents will be required to submit the documents and participate in the verification process conducted by the schools.
Age Criteria
Children up to the age of four years will be enrolled in Nursery, while for KG and Class 1, the age limit is five and six years, respectively.
The minimum age for nursery admissions is three years, and for KG admissions, it is four years.Updated

Important Notice for Delhi Nursery Registration 2021
The registration process in Delhi will be beginning for the upcoming academic session 2021-22 for nursery admissions in private, unaided schools. The online registration process is going to conduct due to COVID – 19 pandemic situations. The step has been taken by the Directorate of Education keeping an eye on safety guardians and children for the ongoing pandemic situation. For the sake of, DoE has published the coronavirus guidelines which parents need to follow.
Parents or guardians are apprised to register soon as the online registration process has been started now. They should not delay filling the registration form. Important events along with dates for the nursery admission, have been provided below. Parents are mandatory to note the following events and dates:

According to schedule, for the general category candidates,75% seat has been stipulated for admission in nursery, KG and Class 1 in private unaided and recognized schools in Delhi. While 25%seats have been kept for the reserved for the economically weaker section (EWS) students and disadvantaged (DG) categories students. The schedule will be declared shortly by the authority.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2021: Age Criteria
As per the guidelines, the child must attain four years of age for nursery, five years for KG. While, the child must be less than six years for class one by March 31, 2021.

Delhi Nursery admission 2021: How to register
- Go to the official website of the respective school that you select to register for admission
- Click on nursery admissions 2021-22 tab
- Register your ward by filling with required details
- Upload the required documents
- Make Payment for the registration fee
- Click on the ‘submit’ button
- Download it and printout a copy for further reference
Admission forms will be provided by schools till the last date of the registration fee at Rs 25. Parents are compulsory to purchase prospectus from the school.
