Overview
Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is an all-India level test or entrance exam that is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science every year for admission into Master of Science (M.Sc.). The test is taken for admission to MSc, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree programmes at the IITs and to the Integrated PhD programmes at IISc.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the Joint Admission Test 2022 answer key for all subjects like Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, and Mathematical Statistics on the official – jam.iitr.ac.in.
However, IIT Roorkee had earlier published the JAM 2022 response sheets.
IIT JAM 2022 answer key: Steps To Download Answer Key
- Visit the official website — jam.iitr.ac.in
- Click on the examination tab and go to the ‘question paper and answer key section
- Click on the answer key link on the subject wise
- Answer key will be displayed on the screen
- Download it for future reference.
Now, candidates can raise objections against the answer key if they get any discrepancy in the JAM 2022 answer key. But for the challenge, candidates will have to submit a fee as a challenge answer key fee. They will also have to submit a document of support as well. The objections against the JAM answer key will be evaluated and based on the objections, it will be updated. And finally, the updated answer key will be the final answer key, and based on it the result shall be prepared.

Question papers for all seven subjects such as Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, and Mathematical Statistics — have been released on the official website.

IIT will allow candidates to raise objections against the JAM answer key 2022. For raise an objection, candidates will have to pay a fee along they will have to submit all required documents. The objections against the JAM answer key will be evaluated. Based on the objections which will be valid, the answer key will be updated. The updated key will be the final answer key and based on it the result shall be prepared.
JAM 2022 exam was held by IIT Roorkee on February 13, 2022 in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The result of JAM 2022 is scheduled to be published on March 22, 2022.
Only qualified candidates of the IIT JAM 2022 exam are eligible to apply for admission to the above-mentioned programmes at the IITs in the academic session 2022-23.
The eligibility test of JAM will be conducted in eight zones across the country jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) on behalf of Ministry of Education (MoE).

IIT JAM exam 2022
Joint Admission Test for Master of Science will be held computer-based mode on February 13 in two slots – first shift and next shift. The first shift will be conducted from 9: 30 AM to 12: 30 for Biotechnology (BT), Physics (PH), and Mathematical Statistics (MS) while the next shift will begin from 3: 00 PM to 6: 00 PM for Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG) and Mathematics (MA).

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee that is conducting the body of the entrance exam has already stated the JAM admit card 2022 has declared on the official website – jam.iisc.ac.in on January 11, 2022.
The candidates who have filled their application for the exam can download now admit cards (hall tickets) from the website- jam.iisc.ac.in as the JAM admit cards 2022 are available on the official site.

IIT JAM 2022 result is likely to be declared on March 22 on the official portal.
Integrated PhD programmes in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Biological Sciences at IISc Bangalore will use the JAM 2022 results to shortlist candidates for the final selection for admission to the institute.
Selected candidates in the exam will be eligible to get admission at 20 IITs and IISc Bangalore for various programmes.
JAM 2022: Paper Pattern
The duration of the examination will be three hours for all the test papers. In the exam, candidates will be asked a total of 60 questions for a total of 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into three sections – A, B, and C. candidates will have to answers from all sections.
Questions not attempted will result in a zero mark in sections. Negative marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in Section A (MCQ). For each incorrect answer to a one-mark question, 1/3 of a mark will be deducted, and for each incorrect answer to a two-mark question, marks will be deducted. There are no negative or partial marking provisions in Section-B (MSQ). Section-C (NAT) has no negative marking as well.
JAM 2022 Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates are a need to reach JAM 2022 exam centres at least half an hour before the reporting time.
- They are mandatory to bring JAM 2022 admit card and a valid photo ID card to the exam centre.
- Candidates will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic items, watches, calculators, their own stationery items, pens, and spectacles.
