Updated on January 22, 2022: Jamia Hamdard has become most popular institute for the higher education in pharmacy and it is among top 25 universities of India. However, the journey of Jamia Hamdard institute was started in the year 1906 with a small Unani clinic by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed.
Later, in the 1972 Hamdard College of Pharmacy was set up to offer Pharmacy education after that In 1973, B. Pharmacy course was started under aegis of Delhi University. Jamia Hamdard was given status of by Ministry of the HRD on 10th May, 1989.

Admission Notification / Admission Process 2022
Jamia Hamdard announces the criteria for admission to Pharmacy and other Under Graduate / Diploma Programmes in Biological / Medical Science for 2022. However, admission in the following course to be done through NEET-2022 which is conducted by National Testing Agency. The Programmes / Courses are as under:

- Bachelors of Physiotherapy (BPT)
- Bachelors of Occupational Therapy (BOT)*
- BSc. in Medical Laboratory Technique (BMLT)*
- Bachelor of Optometry*
- BSc. in Emergency and Trauma Care Techniques (BETCT)*
- BSc. in Medical Record and Health Information Management (BMR and HIM)*
- BSC. in Dialysis Technique*
- BSc. in Cardiology laboratory Techniques (BCLT) *
- BSc. in Medical Imaging Technology (BMIT)*
- BSc. in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technique*
- Any other UG Programme / Course in Biological Science, if announced later.
All interest candidates are request to appear in the NEET- 2022 for admission to above programmes.
*If seats are not filled in B.Pharmacy, BUMS, BPT, BOT. B.Sc. (H) Nursing and other UG programmes of study in biological science other than MBBS Programme then the candidates without NEET-2022 may be considered through the merit of qualifying examination or through the merit of internal test and/or interviews conducted by Jamia Hamdard if the situation arises.

Eligibility
Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy)
D.Pharmacy admission in Jamia Hamdard can be done you fulfill the following criteria.
- 10+2 with PCB securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate and also in the aggregate of PCB.
- For the D.Pharmacy Course, students must appear in the interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
- Students must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December of the year of taking admission< as per PCI norms.
Pharmacy Undergraduate Courses
Those are seeking for the B.Pharmacy Admission (B. Pharm. Regular and SFS) course need to meet the underneath criteria.
- 10+2 with PCB securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate and also in the aggregate and also in the aggregate of PCB.
- Qualified AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test for MBBS Programme) conducted by CBSE.
- Completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December of the year of taking admission as per PCI norms.
- Non AIPMT applicants may be considered on the basis of merit in qualifying examination-cum-interview.
B.Pharmacy Lateral entry Admission
Jamia Hamdard allows for the B.Pharmacy Lateral entry (Direct) admission below are the eligibility criteria for lateral admission.
- 10+2 with PCB and merit will considered by marks obtained in D.Pharmacy course and/or interview.
- Passed Diploma in pharmacy examination of Jamia Hamdard or from any other recognized institution with 50% marks in aggregate.

- Qualified GPAT (with valid score card).
- Must have appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
