The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the seat allotment results on October 18, 2020 for the first round at JoSAA’s official website — josaa.nic.in. An ample number of candidates had appeared in the JEE Main or JEE Advance test with a view to getting admission to undergraduate engineering programmes like B.Arch, B.Planning, B.E./B.Tech courses at the reputed IITs, NITs or Government funded technical institutes. Now, candidates who had participated in the test can seek their JoSAA first-round result for seat allotment by inserting JEE Main 2020 application numbers and passwords through the JoSAA official portal.

- Login to insert JEE Main application numbers and passwords
- Press submit tab
- The result will be displayed on the screen
- Download and take a printout for the future purpose
The seats have been allotted to the shortlisted candidates on the basis of their merit, options entered during the online application of JoSAA counselling and availability of seats.
JoSAA Counseling 2020
In a large number of students have participated in the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) or JEE Advance this year with an intent to get admission at the reputed engineering colleges/institutions for engineering curriculums across India. Now, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has started the registration process for seat allocation on October 6, 2020, Tuesday which will be continued till October 7, 2020. JEE Main is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at various test centres across India.
Only those candidates who have succeeded in the exam are eligible to apply for seat allocation at the josaa.nic.in. The mock seat allocation will be published on October 12.
Candidates who do not fill-in choices within the scheduled time will not be able to get admission for this academic year.
The first allocation list will be going to declare on October 17. Candidates are suggested to make payment scheduled by JoSAA as an acceptance fee and they are also advised to upload required details (documents) to accept the allotment seat.
JoSAA 2020 counselling is granting candidates to fill up their course as well as college preference in the field of engineering. JoSAA will allocate a seat to aspirants on the basis of these preferences this year.
Candidates who have obtained the best rank in the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced will be eligible to get admission at the Indian Institute of Technology, National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology and some Government Technical Institutes through the JoSAA counselling and seat allocation process.
The JoSAA counselling process and seat allotment this year will be held in seven rounds.
